Fueled by inspiration all around her, Maria is embracing a slower, more intentional rhythm—finding joy in the small, beautiful moments that fill a day. Originally from Ecuador, she moved to New York City as a young girl, where the city nurtured her love of design in all its forms. She spent years learning from visionary creatives and working in high-end retail within the fashion and furniture industries.

 

In 2013, Maria and her family relocated to Shenzhen, China, where wemademoments was born—a way to capture and share the everyday beauty and meaningful memories they experienced abroad. Her multicultural approach and instinctive eye for design made her a sought-after interior designer, working on dynamic, full-scope projects for clients from around the world.

 

Now back in her beloved New York City, Maria is following a long-held dream and currently pursuing her floral design certification through the New York Botanical Garden. She’s deeply inspired by nature, color, music, texture, art, and the richness of family life—and is incredibly happy to be exploring this new creative path.
