Fueled by inspiration all around her, Maria is determined to slow down and appreciate the small moments that fill up a day. Originally from Ecuador, she moved to New York City as a young girl. The city indulged her love of design in the best way possible. She spent many years learning alongside visionary designers and working in high-end retail within the fashion and furniture industry.

 

When Maria and her family relocated to Shenzhen, China, in 2013, wemademoments was born out of their determination to share the memories they encountered along the way. The inspiration that fuels Maria most comes from color, nature, music, art, texture, travel, different cultures and family life.

 

Her design skills and multicultural approach to interiors made her a highly sought-after interior designer in one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. She spent seven years in China working on dynamic projects from concept to completion for clients from around the globe.

 

Back in her beloved New York City, Maria, her husband, and their two children can be found anywhere that art is.
